University Student Survey
Survey
From 2004-2006, the Social Science Research Center at Mississippi State University administered an annual cross-sectional web-based survey to a representative sample of undergraduate students at Mississippi State University, the University of Southern Mississippi, and the University of Mississippi.
Purpose
Data from these surveys provide information on many key tobacco-related indicators, allowing Mississippi universities to measure progress toward state and national goals and objectives.
Methods
All respondents were 18 years of age or older and undergraduate students during the spring term. Theses surveys assessed students’ knowledge, attitudes and behaviors related to tobacco use and exposure to secondhand smoke.
